We provide a challenging and rewarding work environment where diversity is valued as a key driver for success. **Job Description:** Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing castings for pumps in a high mix, low volume, engineered to order business model. Managing supplier relationships to ensure responsive support and performance for cost, schedule and quality of product. Communicating delays and issues in a concise and timely manner while enacting recovery measures, driving resolution with support from others, identifying approved suppliers capable of fulfilling each requirement, collaborating with Sulzer’s global supply chain and working independently to resolve problems. **Major Responsibilities:** -Review purchase requisitions, confirm sourcing plan, reconcile with estimate, pattern availability/readiness, quote, negotiate, issue and manage purchase orders. -Manage quality issues and drive timely resolutions of casting issues with suppliers -Validate data and provide reporting of supplier performance, cost reductions, and other purchasing metrics. -Support global sourcing initiatives and directives relative to castings and machined castings. -Resolve quality notifications, receiving issues and invoicing issues. -Assist estimating by proposing sourcing solutions based on supplier capabilities, cost, lead-time, and pattern availability. --Other duties as assigned. **Education and Experience:** Bachelors degree or equivalent experience 3+ years purchasing or relevant experience. **Preferred Experience and Skills:** -Casting and machining -Strong technical background -Cost estimation of assigned commodities -Reading and interpreting drawings -Experience in international sourcing -Diplomatic problem solving skills- LEAN tools, root cause analysis -Must project a collaborative, result-oriented approach to completing daily, mid-term and long-range tasks. -SAP -Working in a highly matrixed organization -Ability to act quickly and with urgency Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
