About the Job

**Objective** To provide professional expertise, evaluate and develop solutions in the area of vehicle cybersecurity. To analyze existing and future vehicle electrical and electronic systems and identify areas of weakness when it comes to automotive hacking. To participate in internal and external forums related to vehicle cybersecurity and to inform and advise internal decision boards regarding new regulations, standards and guidelines related to automotive cybersecurity. **Job Summary** Develops complex systems solutions within area of assignment. Heavy emphasis is placed on level of expertise; knowledge; originality; analysis; interaction within department and external organizations, detailed documentation and report writing. **Core Responsibilities** + Gain and spread knowledge and best practices about cybersecurity to the organization + Lead and participate in security related process and method development + Lead and participate in cyber threat analyses + Participate in incident response and crisis management teams as cybersecurity expert + Perform risk assessments and recommend risk balancing + Support development projects with guidance within the area of cybersecurity + Design of cybersecurity solutions for automotive applications + Participate in national and international collaborations or research in the area of cybersecurity + Maintain and build a network within the cybersecurity area and automotive industry + Writing Technical reports and cross functional specifications – breaking down prerequisites and requirements, describing how they will affect the electrical system, and proposing concepts to fulfill them + Developing and analyzing embedded software specifications and electrical schematics and block diagrams of vehicle functions + Developing System CrossFunctional Specifications + Utilizing various engineering and diagnostic tools such as CANalyzer to troubleshoot and analyze invehicle networks + Performs complex on vehicle tests and analysis to collect data for development of new systems + Providing the necessary expertise to analyze vehicle functions to determine the best course of action required to resolve actual or potential problems + Coordinate activities with other departments as well as deal with customers and vendors as necessary to resolve issues + Assure compliance with all applicable vehicle regulations relating to area of responsibility **Required Competencies** + In depth knowledge of Automotive industry guidelines and regulations related to automotive cybersecurity ( such as SAE J3061, NHTSA etc.) + In depth knowledge of software protection, data security methods and tools + In depth knowledge of data communication technologies and vehicle communication protocols (SAE J1939) + In depth knowledge of vehicle functions such as ABS, Cruise Control, PTO, Diagnostics, etc. + Technical learning has the ability and desire to learn new tools and to stay updated with the latest technological advancements in the industry + Action oriented gets things done, approaches tasks with end goal in mind and stys focus on completion + Perseverance Pursues everything with energy, drive, and a need to finish Seldom gives up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks + Learning on the fly Learns quickly when facing new problems A relentless and versatile learner.
