About the Job

Overview The Residential Aide is the primary connection between the operations staff and the client. They must provide professional, protective service within the guidelines and principles as set forth in: The Salvation Army, Employee Handbook, Security Manual and New York State Security Guard Law. Responsibilities + Meet regularly with clinical team and provide input towards client service planning + Provide crisis intervention and share accurate, pertinent information with the clinical team + Provide residents with access to their medication + Maintain program stability by providing support, assistance, and monitoring of the premises + Regard yourself as part of a team dedicated to the protection of people and property. + Perform Daily Room and bed inspections + Assist in the packing and logging of belongings for AWOL residents + Perform nightly bed counts with house manager + Must be compliant and familiar with the New York State Security Guard Act of 1992. + Follow all employment written policies, procedures, and security post orders. + Follow supervisory instructions. + Abide by chain of command protocol. + Complete all logs, incident reports, and official documents timely and as required. + Must be properly groomed and in uniform as prescribed by Security Department guidelines. + Be available to work different work schedules as needed to include emergency coverage. + Be available to work at any and all The Salvation Army Facilities as needed and directed. + Attendedall training classes when scheduled. + Must protect confidentiality of clients/residents and all work-related information obtained in daily operations. + Must obtain Fireguard, First Aid, and CPR certification and become proficient in all emergency evacuation. Qualifications + Must have at least one year security experience. + Possess a valid New York State security license. + Possess a High School diploma or equivalent. + Possess strong communication and writing skills.
