Requisition Number 17-0508 Post Date 3/6/2017 Title Maintenance Assistant City Big Bear Lake State CA Description PORTER. SALARY: DOE (40 hrs/wk) Full-time position with full benefits. Year round position. Responsible to keep camp and guest areas clean with trash emptied, weeds controlled, minor maintenance issues fixed. To clean assigned guest rooms and to work as a member of the cleaning team to assist in keeping all areas neat and clean. At the start of every day make sure that the Porters have everything they need to start work – linens, towels, cleaning supplies, tools, vacuums. Pick up soiled linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and tools – making sure to put them away or move them to the place they will need them for the next phase of work. Clean & re-stock the Porter storage areas with cleaning supplies and equipment, toiletries, towels & linens, paper supplies, replacement bulbs, and assists in maintaining MSDS sheets. Pickup papers and trash and dispose/recycle all trash on the camp property and ensure that all customer hallways and passages are clean and free of debris. Clean and remove debris and weeds from parking lot and entrances to buildings; Mop, sweep or vacuum floors as needed. Qualifications: Minimum High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to work in fast paced environment and maintain poise under pressure. Customer service mindset with attention to detail. General knowledge of maintenance, facilities, and housekeeping protocols. Maintain a valid California Driver’s License with less than two violations in the last 12 months, or a DUI within the last 18 months and must pass a Fleet Safety Test.
