Requisition Number 17-2072 Post Date 10/11/2017 Title Driver (DOT) City Hanford State CA Description The Salvation Army Golden State Division Hanford POSITION: Driver/Custodian SUPERVISOR: Corps Officer DEPARTMENT: Maintenance STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full-Time 40 hours weekly OVERVIEW: The Driver/Custodian is responsible for performing the daily pickups of donated food items in the Hanford area as well as the overall cleanliness and safety of the corps buildings. Requirements DUTIES: • Pick up donated food items on a daily basis • Unload items once back at corps • Clean entire building in a continued and regular manner. • Clean windows on a regular basis • Vacuum all carpets daily • Clean all bathrooms daily and check for cleanliness throughout the day. • Sweep and mop floors daily. • Empty all trash cans daily (especially kitchen trash). • Set-up rooms for programs that are happening each day. This means seeing that the appropriate number of tables and chairs are in the rooms being used, and that they are in the formation requested. • Set-up and clean-up for the Community Meal Program, cleaning area and picking up and dumping all trash. • Maintain a running record of materials used and advise in advance (the cleaning materials, paper items, light bulbs, etc). • Be aware of and report any repairs need or broken items observed to Officer in charge. • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS • Must be 21 years with a clean DMV record • Strong geographical knowledge of Hanford and surrounding areas • Ability to work with limited or not supervision • Ability to work with other staff members and volunteers a must • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations • Detail in work • Ability to multi-task and set priorities • Must have good communication and organizational skills • Must be a team-player • Must be goal-oriented and self-motivated Excellent benefits to include medical/dental, vacation, sick leave, STD, Life Insurance, Retirement (Defined Contribution Plan) and much more!
