Requisition Number 17-1332 Post Date 7/5/2017 Title Customer Service Representative City Long Beach State CA Description THE SALVATION ARMY ADULT REHABILITATION CENTERS COMMAND JOB DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT: CALL CENTER POSITION TITLE: DONOR SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE STATUS: NON-EXEMPT/PART-TIME SUPERVISOR: DIRECTOR OF CALL CENTER GENERAL STATEMENT: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE: • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills. • A High School Diploma or GED is required. • Excellent listening skills and ability to ask probing questions and understand concerns. • Required Typing Speed of 30 WPM. • Required to pass typing, spelling and reading comprehension test. • 1-2 years of work experience in customer service. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel or twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment. • Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone. • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. • Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: • Excellent interpersonal and related skills. • Must be self-motivated and reliable. • Ability to multi-task. • Effective communication skills. • Receive inbound calls from current and potential donors with the goal of providing an exceptional donor experience. • Assist donors in scheduling donation pickups, answer questions and assist in the resolution of any issues. • Meet Quality Assurance Requirements and other key performance metrics.
