Requisition Number 17-1741 Post Date 9/1/2017 Title Program Assistant City San Francisco State CA Description The Salvation Army Golden State Division San Francisco Harbor Light POSITION: Monitor SUPERVISOR: House Manager / Program Director DEPARTMENT: Harbor Light Center / Detox STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly) (40hrs/wk) OVERVIEW: The Monitor is responsible to the House Manager and Program Director for the security of premises, as well as carrying out advanced administrative/computer / database duties as assigned. Requirements DUTIES: 1. Facilitate non-clinical program activities on shift 2. Monitor clients in accordance with non-clinical Detox protocols 3. Responsible for the security of premises. Driving as assigned 4. Answer phones, take messages 5. Carry out administrative, database, or clerical duties as assigned 6. Responsible for floors and wall maintenance and assigned custodial tasks including washing laundry and linen 7. Work in collaboration with Senior Counselor and Program Manager to ensure participants are safe and comfortable 8. Attend staff meetings and workshops relating to the program participants 9. Other tasks as assigned by the Detox Program Manager and the Program Director QUALIFICATIONS: • Maintain current TB& Wellness Documents-REQUIRED • If in recovery, minimum of 6 months of sobriety • Strong interpersonal skills • Experience in working with Homeless, Veterans, HCV/HIV/AIDS, Dual / Triple Diagnosis, Formerly Incarcerated, and Chemical Dependency Populations • Will require First Aid and CPR training • High school graduate or equivalent • Advanced computer literacy REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead • Ability to operate telephone • Criminal background check, TB (Tuberculosis) clearance, and wellness exam required post job offer. • Ability to follow reasonable ergonomic accommodations, sit for long intervals, walk, stand, reach, bend, lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
