Requisition Number 17-1395 Post Date 7/14/2017 Title Janitor City San Francisco State CA Description The Salvation Army Golden State Division San Francisco Harbor Light POSITION: Janitor/Maintenance Budget No: 101018 SUPERVISOR: Facility Director DEPARTMENT: Harbor House STATUS: Full-Time/Non-Exempt 40 hrs./week OVERVIEW: The Janitor position works under the supervision of the Facility Director to assist in cleanliness for the San Francisco Harbor House. Requirements DUTIES: • Cleans and maintains lobby, including cleaning of windows, doors, mopping floors, vacuuming/shampooing carpets, etc., at least daily, and more if necessary to maintain excellent entrance appeal. • Cleans laundry room, community room, conference room, and management offices on a daily basis. • Cleans community bathrooms on a daily basis, more if necessary to maintain in a sanitary manner. • Cleans stairways and elevators on a regularly scheduled basis. • Does cleaning of units, including stoves, refrigerators, bathrooms, floors, windows, etc. • Follow up on maintenance repairs initiated by Resident Shelter Resident Managers. • Stripping and mopping of tile and linoleum floors. • Responsible for emptying of trash and recycling bins. QUALIFICATIONS: • Previous janitorial experience preferred. • Knowledge in janitorial, light maintenance and safe use of cleaning supplies. • High School Diploma preferred.
