Requisition Number 17-2457 Post Date 11/20/2017 Title CRG - Assistant Health Care Manager City Scott Valley State CA Description POSITION: Assistant Health Care Manager SUPERVISOR: Health Care Manager/Program Director DEPARTMENT: Camp Redwood Glen STATUS: Summer Camp OVERVIEW: With current CPR/First Aid Certification, assist the Health Care Manager/Nurse with the day to day wellness of campers & staff. The objective of the Assistant Health Care Manger is to assist with the daily tasks both in & out of the Health Care Center, keep the Health Care Center clean & in order, hand out medications to campers & staff, provide basic first aid, and to supervise campers that need to remain in the Health Care Center. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 1. Keep the health care center clean and sanitized 2. Assist with the dispensing of medications 3. Provide basic first aid to staff and campers 4. Participate in Program meetings & devotionals 5. Actively supervise during free times 6. Assist with entering camper & staff names into the health care logbook. 7. Be available to supervise campers & staff in the Health Care Center 8. Supervise assigned children with the priority of protecting their health and safety 9. Be an appropriate and effective example for children and staff members, exhibiting Christ-like conduct, concern, and service 10. Lead an Elective Class or program rotation 11. Spend time with, befriend, and interact with all counselors & campers in order to foster a quality camping experience in accordance with the stated goals of The Salvation Army’s camping program 12. Be an appropriate & effective example for both campers and staff members, exhibiting Christ-like conduct, concern, and service 13. Report any suspected child abuse issues to the Program Director and take necessary actions to report it properly 14. Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor 15. Assist the Camp Director in any other duty as requested to maintain a consistently high level of efficiency in the operation of the camp. 16. Plan & implement age appropriate educational opportunities & activities for campers 17. Participate with all camp programs All staff may be called upon at any time to assist in the total operation of the camp. You are expected to join in all evening programs; absences are excused only through the Program Director. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must be at least 18 years of age 2.
