Requisition Number 17-1447 Post Date 7/21/2017 Title Childcare Worker City Aurora State CO Description AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM LEADER Aurora Corps – Aurora, Colorado Scope of Position: The Salvation Army is seeking a part time, hourly After-School Program Leader to assist the On-Site Program Director in the operation of the Corps’ After School and Summer Programs while demonstrating a passion for working with children in a learning environment. This includes maintaining the Divisional standards as well as having direct, daily involvement with the students. The Program Leader may also be assigned additional responsibilities by the On-Site Program Director depending upon the needs of the program and the employee’s skill set. Additional duties may include assessing inventory needs, administering proper record keeping, securing parental permissions, outcome documentation, facilitating program components, and sustaining specific health and safety standards. The Program Leader is intended to be the “right-hand person” for the On-Site Program Director. Requirements Position Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent is required for all Intermountain Division positions ? Minimally 18 years of age and demonstrate an ability to work with children ? Minimally 3 months of full time or equivalent part time, verifiable experience with school aged children ? Will submit fingerprints, certifications for First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration, and Universal Precautions ? Able to collaborate as a member of a team ? Able to provide leadership support to Corps ministry components that are integrated into the after school and summer programs ? Compliant with Child Care Licensure ? Able to provide encouraging instruction to students during group activities ? Able to assist with planning, teaching lessons, homework support and other related activities ?
