Requisition Number 17-1600 Post Date 8/16/2017 Title Warehouse Associate City Aurora State CO Description Warehouse Assistant Aurora, Colorado Scope of Position: The Salvation Army is seeking a full time, non-exempt Warehouse Assistant to provide supervision to the warehouse workers, drivers and maintenance worker(s) on a daily basis, including scheduling of pick -ups, routes, and payroll approval. The position is responsible for managing and properly caring for in-coming donations of goods, assisting the program and general labor as needed. The individual will pick up donated or purchased materials and goods as needed by The Salvation Army and assist in providing for direct client needs through coordination of transportation and care of material goods. The Assistant will also serve as the Emergency Services Logistics lead, overseeing donations management and distribution of donated goods during disasters and assist the ES director as needed. The Assistant will maintain The Salvation Army vehicle(s) and facility in proper working order, as well as in clean and orderly condition. All food items will be handled appropriately per health guidelines. Generally, the hours of operation are 7:30AM – 4:00PM but hours will vary, particularly during the holiday season or disaster events when overtime may be incurred. Requirements Position Qualifications: ? High School Diploma/GED ? Minimum of three years’ experience in the day-to-day operations of a warehouse including scheduling truck routes, logistics and inventory management ? Experience working with volunteers and vendors ? Ability to drive a full-sized box truck and have a valid Colorado driver’s license; CDL preferred and/or willing to obtain one within three months from date of hire ? Forklift Trainer Certification ? Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance ? Experienced in the use of a forklift and warehouse material handling equipment ? Knowledge of proper food handling, storage and rotation procedures ? General computer knowledge and skills, including data entry, WORD, EXCEL and Email ? Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather ? Flexible and adaptable regarding hours and tasks ? Understand and demonstrate the value and importance of Customer Service ?
