Requisition Number 17-1891 Post Date 9/25/2017 Title Director City Colorado Springs State CO Description Red Shield Youth and After School Director Colorado Springs, CO The Salvation Army is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Red Shield Youth and After School Director. This is a full time position with full benefits. The Director is responsible to develop, implement and oversee all programming pertaining to the after school program and supervise the Red Shield staff, and many other duties. Requirements Position Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in elementary, early childhood, recreation or in the human service field with experience working with school age children • Must be a Christian in profession, confession and demonstration • Must possess skill in working with a diverse population of children and parents • Must meet all child safety leadership requirements • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to network in the community • Must be able to clear all necessary background checks and clearances • High level of integrity • Have the ability to effectively schedule staff, field trips, resources and prioritize program needs • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a team player • Must have a CDL driver license or ability to obtain in a timely manner • Ability to maintain all necessary paperwork, as it pertains to grants, funding and compliance with licensing. + Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities. + Please view Equal Employment Opportunity Posters provided by OFCCP here. + The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
