Requisition Number 17-2638 Post Date 12/8/2017 Title Shelter Worker City Denver State CO Description Shelter Worker Crossroads Resource Center - Denver, Colorado The Salvation Army is seeking a full-time, hourly Shelter Worker. The Shelter Worker is responsible for the safety and security of the clients and volunteers who are in our facility. Treating all those receiving shelter with dignity and understanding, the Shelter Worker implements the rules of the shelter program fairly and equitably. Any special or unusual concern is to be brought to the immediate attention of the supervisor. Requirements ? Prefer experience working with those who are experiencing homelessness. ? Ability to provide inside and outside security and safety of the building, as well as the shelter population. ? Ability to remain awake at all times while on the job for the safety and security of the clients. ? Ability to understand and enforce facility rules. ? Ability to supervise nightly shelter registration, providing accurate count for supervisor’s use. ? Ability to maintain ongoing professional relationship in all interpersonal contacts. Mediate problems with shelter population. ?
