Requisition Number 17-1915 Post Date 9/27/2017 Title Cook City Denver State CO Description Cook/Kitchen Supervisor Lambuth Family Center – Denver, Colorado The Salvation Army is seeking to fill a full time, hourly Cook/Kitchen Supervisor position. This individual will prepare menus, meal plans and meals according to company policy, established health regulations and best practices of the industry. This person will also assist with maintaining the food pantry, food preparation equipment and will continue to cultivate a healthy relationship with other institutions that assist with the critical responsibility of providing nutritious sustenance. As the Kitchen Supervisor, the Cook will assist in the supervision and coordination of volunteers and clients during meal preparation and service. Requirements Position Qualifications: ? High School Diploma or equivalent is required ? Experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities is required ? Minimally 21 years of age with a valid Colorado Driver’s License ? Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card and be responsible for following all corresponding guidelines ? Experience in cooking in an institutional environment is preferred ? The ability to direct volunteers working in the kitchen ? The ability to adhere to all kitchen safety and sanitation standards ? Demonstrate basic computer knowledge ?
