Requisition Number 17-1656 Post Date 8/24/2017 Title Management City Denver State CO Description Shelter Manager Crossroads Men’s Resource Center – Denver, Colorado The Salvation Army is seeking a Shelter Manager for the Denver Crossroads Men’s Resource Center. The position is non-exempt, full-time, 40 hours/week. Hours vary between 2:00 PM -12:00 AM Saturday and Sunday. The Shelter Manager is the direct supervisor of staff working with clients at the Crossroads Center; they will interact directly, make sure facility policies are being followed, and help to improve services offered. Requirements Position Qualifications: ? Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple demands competing for attention while maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers and supervisors. ? Proficient written and verbal communication skills. ? De-escalation skills a plus ? Knowledge of computers with skills in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and Publisher. ? High School diploma or GED equivalency with 1 year commensurate experience. ? Comfortable working in an ethnically diverse environment across all adult age populations and able to communicate effectively with all, maintaining a non-judgmental attitude. ? Quick learner with the ability to retain information. ? Ability to be a leader among coworkers. ? Ability to complete daily documentation. ?
