Requisition Number 17-2430 Post Date 11/13/2017 Title Volunteer Coordinator City Ogden State UT Description Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator Ogden Corps, Ogden, UT SCOPE OF POSITION: The Admin. Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator will provide clerical and administrative support to the Corps Officers to include but not limited to: Maintain and recruit volunteers for the various Corps program needs and handle the HR and payroll needs of the programs as well as the PTM training needed for each of the programs to include employees and volunteers as needed. Other duties to include, but not limited to, processing of all contracts, overseer of all business operations, operational supply inventory and ordering, and finance processing of all invoices weekly as well as all banking deposits. There will be seasonal duties that may require additional hours and those will be set by the Corps Officers. Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities include, developing appropriate relationships with area agencies such as Weber State University, and Easter Seals to promote and maintain a viable pool of volunteers for support of local corps activities. Organize and conduct regular volunteer orientations. Maintain files on volunteers and accurately track volunteer hours. Will recruit and coordinate volunteers for special events and campaigns as needed and directed by the Corps Officers. Will appropriately interview and evaluate each volunteer to ensure that each person is placed in the most suitable position. Requirements Position Qualifications: ? High School Diploma/GED minimum. College helpful. ? Minimally 21 years of age with a valid Utah Driver’s License ? 2 years verifiable experience in similar clerical, office management type position ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and general office procedures including Word, Excel and integrated database applications ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, Spanish speaking a plus ? Must be able to work in a fast-paced office setting with little supervision and be self-motivated to meet crucial deadlines while working under pressure ? Must demonstrate leadership qualities, be a strong team player and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality ? Energetic, personable and dependability a must ? Must be able to work with a wide variety of people from all demographics ?
