Requisition Number 17-2160 Post Date 10/19/2017 Title Driver (Non-DOT) City Casper State WY Description Part Time Thrift Store Driver Casper, Wyoming SCOPE OF POSITION The Salvation Army is seeking Driver to work Part-Time 25 to 29 hours per week Monday – Friday. Overview: Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operate the vehicle within state / federal statues and/or guidelines. Perform responsibilities in the most efficient and effective manner saving time, money and complying with The Salvation Army’s policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This job description should not be interpreted as all inclusive. The incumbents may be requested to perform job-related responsibilities and tasks other than those stated in this job description. Acquire pick-up tickets and organize route in the most time efficient and fuel efficient manner. Pick up donations from the various locations. Load donations on the trucks in the most organized manner possible to enable as many pickups as possible on each truckload. Load donations in an orderly and secure manner to minimize potential damage/breakage to donated merchandise. Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. 2 Maintains a positive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner that will establish and promote a professional working relationship with vendors, donors, customers, beneficiaries, co-workers and management. Employees in this position must meet all DOT requirements for vehicles associated with this position at all times. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other job-related responsibilities and tasks (other than those stated in this job description) when directed by management. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Trucks and other vehicles. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED– LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Minimally 21 years of age with a valid Wyoming Driver’s License KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of assigned geographical area. Ability to organize pick-up tickets and to schedule route in a manner that saves time and fuel. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with a variety of personalities.
