Works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives and meet all legal requirements. Develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. May be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. **Job Description:** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to corporate staff. + Provides advice to corporate staff on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs. + Manages the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) for corporate staff, including the processing, recording and reporting of compensation-related actions related to salaried employees. + Develops techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting data. Supervises the participation in, conducts and/or purchases exempt and nonexempt salary surveys to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved. + Keeps apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance. The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems. + The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. + The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. + The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications. + The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process. + The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data. + The Compensation Manager must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. + A bachelors’ degree in commerce with accounts or finance as major. + Over one year of experience in compensation management. + Superb multi-tasking and organization skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. + Knowledge of MS Office, financial packages and various other payroll management software. + Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, human resources or related field. + Six to eight years of progressively responsible experience in compensation. + Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations. + SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential. + Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with top management **Qualifications:** Bachelors - Human Resources Management, Bachelors - Mathematics, Bachelors - Organizational Behavior Studies, Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures recommending plan revision as well as new plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives; coordinates implementation and provides guidance to corporate staff.
