Content platforms include print, digital, online, events and a broad spectrum of marketing services.Job SummaryThe 1105 Public Sector Media Group, is currently seeking a goal oriented, highly motivated Media & Event Sales Consultant with strong communication and interpersonal skills to drive sales revenue in the Northeast. This role will require in-person engagement and relationship building with current clients. Candidate will need to cold call for new account development to continually increase the sales funnel and convert prospects into clients. The Media & Events Consultant will represent an extensive portfolio including print publications, websites, digital media, webcast and live events, research and marketing services programs. The role requires consultative face-to-face meetings and phone selling, networking at events, preparing presentations and proposals, closing sales and CRM activity tracking. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and focused on continual knowledge growth to bring our clients insights that establish the 1105 Public Sector Media Group as the leading media partner in the government space. Essential Requirements: + Driving revenue + Sales and prospecting to new and existing 1105 Public Sector Media Group customers + Building relationships with targeted companies/organizations through in-person meetings, as well as through Go-to-Meetings, phone calls and e-mails + Work on multiple goals/priorities as well as multiple client deliverables effectively and efficiently + Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure best in class client service + Developing and maintaining good working business relationships within a multi-client environment + Remain current with industry trends and competitive activity, as it pertains to your clients and category + Full use of a modern CRM platform + Proficiency using Microsoft office suite is required + Must be able to work independently in a home office + Regional travel Qualified Candidates must possess the following Skills, Experience and Education: Skills: + A history of sales success in print, digital and event sales + Hunter mentality, a quick learner, independent mindset, and a high energy/aggressive approach is a must, day in day out + Strong presentation, closing, and prospecting skills + Experience with large media agencies would be a plus + Experience with filling a sales funnel and systematically working prospects and accounts + Self-motivation to meet and exceed sales goals + A closer, who looks for new angles and solutions to solidify deals + A team player willing to go the extra mile + Excellent verbal and written communications skills and relationship management skills + Goal-oriented sales approach; be able to provide a proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual goals + Eager to work in a fast paced environment + Strong multi-tasker Experience: + 2-5+ years media and/or event sales experience + Experience/understanding of the government or IT market would be a plus + Experience in managing the entire sales process, including prospecting, needs analysis, closing, and relationship management for renewal or upsell + Background in using a consultative sales approach + Proven track record of driving sales revenue Education: + College degree preferred Company Profile: 1105 Media, Inc. is a leading provider of integrated business-to-business information and media.
