The person hired for this position will be responsible for acting as the liaison with Business Groups to understand and assess how Variant Configuration could be a solution for selected portfolios. This Specialist will work closely with the VC Developers; understand and assist in configurable set up to ensure successful functioning of VC to meet business needs. The successful candidate will be able to communicate the capabilities of VC and suggest potential business models where VC would be a benefit while listening to business processes and communicating back to Developers thus supporting the continuous development and roll-out of VC to new commodities. The candidate must be able to accurately assess requirements, communicate clearly and cross-functionally, and be comfortable thinking outside the box and working with others on potential and/or creative solutions. Travel will be required working with manufacturing and/or country contacts. Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: + Communicate VC strategy and capability per current direction for various product types + Develop strategies and plans for the Variant Configuration end-state solution where new configurable product families or processes are identified. + Facilitate requirements and capability between divisions, plants, and regions to the extended VC team and VC Developers. Communicate strategies, directions, and plans with stakeholders. + Share information amongst the VC functions and between Polaris functional teams + Manage workload to meet key project milestones + Provide configuration support of new products and Business Support as needed post-deployment + Protect the corporation through risk mitigation + Leverage global resources in the execution of project activities Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. + Minimum three (3) years of experience in IT or Supply Chain Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in Supply Chain or Plant leadership position + Proven successful experience with cross-functional projects + Strong analytical and systems skills (SQL, ) + SAP experience + Strong variant configuration process knowledge + Demonstrated capacity for strong communications, project management, and handling multiple priorities. + Proven ability to drive enterprise wide deployment and optimization projects. + Strong leadership skills with ability to influence and inspire others + Knowledge of SAP landscape and solution domain.
