About the Job

The Residential Administrator is responsible for the day to day operation of three adult services I/DD residential programs as assigned. This includes all site, individuals served and program related issues, providing direct supervision to the Residential Managers and oversight of the fiscal integrity of all assigned programs. Must have flexibility to be reassigned to other programs and/or locations as needed. Essential Functions + Oversee the delivery of all services within assigned programs and ensure that services and program environments are of the highest quality and promote maximum integration into the community for the individuals we support. + Design and establish monitoring systems which promote organizational efficiencies as well as compliance with ACLD policies, procedures and regulations governing programs. These systems should focus on individuals' health and safety, fiscal integrity, staff development and training and physical plant maintenance + Supervising, coaching and supporting all assigned Residential Management staff and participate in the 24-hour Emergency On Call System + Develop and monitor staffing plans to ensure individuals' health, safety, and quality programs and oversee the hiring process within assigned programs. Ensure designated staff are meeting all staff training and development needs. + Develop and manage income and expense budgets to ensure the fiscal integrity of all programs and individuals' funds. Demonstrate a commitment to ACLD operational performance initiatives. + Completion of regular corporate compliance reviews to ensure accuracy of billing in conjunction with ACLD and Medicaid policies. + Act as a liaison with the Residential ABS and Nursing Teams to ensure quality clinical services. This will include coordination of trainings for staff and oversight of behavior plans/strategies and ensure all medical care/needs are being met. + Implement ACLD operational performance initiatives to ensure the reduction of expenses and compliance with the annual program budget. + Oversight of overtime reduction in all assigned residential programs and ensure that overtime policies regarding coverage are being followed. + Meet with individuals and family members to share information, solicit feedback, and discuss issues germane to improving the quality of services. + Maintain collaborative relationships with other ACLD programs and departments to maximize service coordination and integration. + Provide overall assistance as assigned by the Director of Residential Services or Assistant Executive Director. Job Requirements: + Bachelors Degree in the field of Human Services required; Masters Degree preferred. + Five Years working in the Human Services Field. + A minimum of one year experience working directly with individuals diagnosed with development disabilities (QIDP) + Three years experience supervising three or more people + The ability to obtain (within 180 days of hire) and maintain SCIP (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) Certification. + Knowledge of OPWDD systems and regulations required + Clean, valid New York driver’s license + Substantial reasoning skills required. Ability to identify problems, interpret data and draw conclusions. Ability to apply principles of logic or theoretical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to coach and counsel, interpret and advise, and the ability to develop and present to direct care staff. + Ability to work a flexible schedule including on call for weekends and nights. + Perform computer duties which include knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Access and Excel).
