As a float, you will be asked to be available to cover schedules between 6AM to 6PM, Mondays through Fridays and rotating Saturdays to provide coverage at different locations. You may be covering a location for a day, or you may be asked to cover more than one location on the same day depending on business needs. You will travel between sites an average of 5 to 20 miles daily. In some instances you will be asked to travel up to 100 miles roundtrip—it does not happen often, but there will be times when you will be expected to cover these distances. You will work with patients of all ages for a variety of specimen collections and must be knowledgeable, confident in your phlebotomy skills, as well as versatile. Our float phlebotomists don’t mind having to work in different places every day, love meeting new people, enjoy challenge and variety, and thrive in saving the day! **Who you are:** • Knowledgeable and detail oriented Phlebotomist. • You don’t mind working alone or a team. You are comfortable meeting new people. • Passionate about patient care. Patient well-being is your bottom line and everything you do on a daily basis is to ensure the patient is receiving the best possible experience. • You are self-motivated. Knowing that the company is counting on you to make a difference in the lives of our patients motivates you to give your absolute best. • Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn. You don’t mind learning new EMRs and different protocols. • Comfortable with following company policy and procedures at all times—no matter the setting. **Who you are not:** • Someone who does not like to drive and hates traffic. • Uncomfortable with set schedules and showing up to work on time. • Easily overwhelmed, especially learning new Electronic Medical Records. • More focused on office politics and gossip than patient care. • Uncomfortable representing the company. You would rather work in one place and you like knowing your routine to work every day. **Must Haves:** • High school diploma or GED. • Reliable personal transportation. **We provide mileage reimbursement!** • Completed a phlebotomy program or have on the job phlebotomy experience • Excellent customer service • OK signing a “Confidential Information and Restrictive Covenant Agreement.” • Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one. • Excellent work ethic and commitment to patient care.
