About the Role: The Operations Manager, Physical Security will perform activities required to ensure the physical protection of sensitive or confidential information, personnel, facilities or other sensitive materials, resources or processes. Additionally, they will assist in the development, evaluation, and occasionally assist with oversight of installations of protection systems and devices to insure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material is not compromised, subject to sabotage, stolen, misused or subjected to acts of willful interference. Manage and assist in the development of processes which are efficient and reliable, ensuring the security of all personnel, resources and assets of Fiserv. Also serves as the primary representative between Physical Security and contract security guard services for the enterprise. Essential Job Responsibilities: 1. Ensuring operational compliance with company policy, contractual and regulatory standards 2. Review designs and inspect facilities where sensitive materials will be located 3. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security practices, recommend the type of control requirements, procedures, and facilities needed 4. Assist or manage internal and external audits to assure that organizational personnel are adhering to established policy and practices and recommend appropriate action to correct deficiencies 5. Ensure that monitoring of physical security processes for facility access systems are performed in a manner consistent of regulatory requirements 6. Participation in promoting Security Awareness Programs 7, Assist with planning to organize, control and direct an efficient and reliable process for ensuring the safety and security of all personnel, resources and assets of Fiserv. 8. Be directly involved in the installation of security systems projects when needed. 9. Responsible for promoting ongoing vendor relationships. 10. Assist where needed to coordinate Regulatory, PCI, Client and Internal Audit examinations with each business unit validating that required physical security information is available and timely. 11. Directly or indirectly manage on-site security personnel at multiple locations, including contract security services. 12. Provide technical assistance for mission critical equipment such as EBI and DVM. 13. Control and contain scene of criminal activities until proper authorities have arrived. 14. Effectively communicate with all levels of management and coworkers. Required Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in law enforcement, security, business, safety or related field or high school diploma and 5 years of relevant experience • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all MS Office applications and a strong general knowledge of business, technology, security systems and operations. • Must be available to be on call 24X7 for emergency responses Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security, law enforcement, security compliance. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in dealing with complex security systems and processes. Preferred Qualifications: • ASIS International CPP and/or PSP certifications desired. • Experience working with card access systems and contract security services. • Previous experience and knowledge of General safety and security principles and processes; • Recognized security and safety expertise. • Project management experience. • General knowledge of networks, and network based systems. • Results Orientation – Highly organized, demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving.
