About the Job

Based in Brasfield & Gorrie’s Birmingham office, the CCIP Manager supports and reports to the Corporate Risk Manager. The position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. Specifically, the CCIP Manager will be responsible for the following (other duties may be assigned): + Manage Owner Controlled Insurance Programs (OCIPs) and Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs (CCIPs) across Brasfield & Gorrie’s footprint + Effectively collaborate with insurance carriers/agents/administrators to negotiate and administer OCIP/CCIP Programs + Meet and collaborate with clients to influence/sell/explain the CCIP Program + Work with preconstruction department during the budget process to determine insurance costs and respond to RFP questions related to OCIPs/CCIPs + Work with legal and safety departments to update and administer the CCIP Manual, Subcontract, and CCIP Safety Requirements + Conduct regular and effective training sessions with Brasfield & Gorrie operations and preconstruction personnel + Conduct CCIP orientations with project teams and safety personnel + Participate in project meetings and report monthly status of program and losses + Coordinate work with Brasfield & Gorrie’s insurance agent, insurance carriers, legal department, and safety department to manage claims + Work with accounting department on regular reporting and financial accounting for the program + Understand and communicate Brasfield & Gorrie’s corporate insurance program + Communicate effectively with subcontractor community, including subcontractors’ insurance agents + Bachelor’s degree + 5-10 years of experience working in the construction industry or for an insurance carrier/broker + Preconstruction experience is a plus + Ability to travel up to 15%, primarily to Brasfield & Gorrie’s offices and jobsites. + Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products with high proficiency in Excel + Thorough understanding of construction/risk management industry + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Good math/accounting skills + Functions effectively as part of a team + Proven to be dependable + Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times + Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients + Exhibits strong leadership qualities + Excellent time management and organizational skills + Strong decision making/problem solving skills + Proactively seeks new knowledge/experience The above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
