The MedImmune headquarters is located in Gaithersburg, Md., one of AstraZeneca’s three global R&D centers, with additional sites in Cambridge, UK and Mountain View, CA._ **Position Summary:** _MedImmune Cell Culture and Fermentation Sciences is seeking a motivated and innovative postdoctoral fellow for a 3 year position with relevant experience to explore the role of intracellular redox in mAb producing CHO cell processes to improve product quality and specific productivity. This project will involve developing methods to quantify the intracellular redox state, including the expression and activity of redox related enzymes to identify key pathways impacting product quality and specific productivity. The knowledge generated will be used to development strategies to improve host cell lines and/or manufacturing process._ **Major Duties and Responsibilities:** _The candidate is expected to independently design, coordinate and conduct experiments and will have the opportunity to present all project relevant data at internal and cross-project team meetings and scientific conferences. The candidate is also expected to publish in high-impact journals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of bioprocess development team.
