Job Designation MTSI is a global leader in Live Fire and Virtual training equipment. MTSI is a global leader in Live Fire and Virtual training equipment. MTSI currently has ~400 employees in 7 countries-US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Holland, and UAE, performing sales and service activities with a majority of the employees located in Suwanee, GA. Most of the production and engineering is performed in Suwanee. Job Core Responsibilities + Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting. + Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management. + Providing strategic guidance around IR&D and capital spending allocations to support future growth. + Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) + Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking. + Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasting. + Provide financial management oversight to foreign subsidiaries. + Government cost accounting compliance. + Ensuring effective management of program and project costing. + Adherence to Corporate Policies and Procedures. + Staff development. + Support corporate initiatives for tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes. + Developing solutions to optimize and manage cash flow. + Other finance and administrative duties as required. Job Specifications + 10 plus years of managerial accounting and financial management experience. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA and/or CMA preferred but not required. + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. + Experience working in a manufacturing environment + Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines. + Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time. + Ability to prepare professional presentations and present to Key Customers and Corporate Management. + Ability to work with Business Areas to define large proposal strategies. + Ability to negotiate with high level Government and Corporate officials in a Global Market. + US government contracting experience to include CAS, FARS, and DFARS, a plus. + Exposure to US Government export compliance requirements. + Contracts experience a plus.
