**Section HVAC/R Engineer / Sr\. Engr I** **Description** _We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening in the St\. Marys, GA area\. We do not have assurance at this time that the position will be opened and when\. This position is contingent upon contract award\. _ Jacobs Technology is looking for a Section HVAC/R Engineer\. The Section HVAC/R Engineer’s primary duty and responsibility is to support operational, sustainment, restoration, and modernization services associated within a limited access section\. The Section HVAC/R Engineer shall have no other duties except those associated with the limited access section operational, sustainment, restoration, and modernization services\. Anticipated responsibilities include, but not limited to: conceptual thinking; designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures; functional data and requirements analysis; complex system analysis; and documentation preparation for complex systems\. May be required to supervise less experienced engineers\. Requires expertise in base operations services\. **Qualifications** BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited engineering school, and eight \(8\) to twelve \(12\) years of related engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and seven \(7\) to ten \(10\) years related engineering experience or a Ph\.D\. degree and two \(2\) to five \(5\) years related experience\. Secret clearance required \- TS/SCI preferred\. Registered Professional Engineer \- Registration in the State of Georgia preferred, ability to reciprocate/transfer registration acceptable; Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with at least 5 years being in the areas of design, maintenance, and repair of commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems; Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional preferred; Experience in large Facility Support Services or Base Operations Support contracts desired; Experience in Maximo required\. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards \(Local, State, and Federal\); Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Must pass Level I Security and Escort Training\. Essential Functions Work Environment Limited access complex, mostly office facilities and industrial plants\. Duties will require access and entry within warehouse, physical plants, and construction/work areas where PPE is applicable \(e\.g\. safety shoes, hearing/vision protection, safety hats\) Physical Requirements Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods\. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of employees and customers\. Equipment and Machines Computers and General Office Equipment \(e\.g\. phone, computers, copiers, printers\) Attendance With the exception of approved leave and holidays, attendance is mandatory\. Attendance is critical at all times to ensure response to customer requirements \(100%\)\. Overtime may be required\. This position is expected to be on\-site during all regular business hours as aligned with customer requirements\. Position shall be available on\-site within one hour of customer's request\. Other Essential Functions Must take and pass a drug test and background check\. Must have/maintain appropriate security clearance and pass Level I Security and Escort Training\. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation\. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others\. Must be well\-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously\. Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing\. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization\. Must be willing to travel as\-needed\.
