**Designer** **Description** * Design powertrainsystem level and component level test fixtures using Catia v\.5 and SDRC Ideas\. * Create detaildrawings of assemblies and fixtures, using Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing \(GD&T\)\. * Store all CAD datain Teamcenter \(TCe\), use TCe to create top down assemblies and bottom upassemblies\. We are looking for a highly motivated person willingto learn powertrain testing activities and willing to dive into complex engine,transmission, and axle test designs\. **Qualifications** Qualified candidates willpossess certifications of two \(2\) years training from a vocational trainingschool or two \(2\) years college with courses relevant to drafting orengineering principles plus a minimum of four \(4\) years’ experience\. Additionalrelevant education may be substituted for a portion of the progressiveexperience\. Candidates require knowledge inthe use of drafting equipment and in the application of drafting principles\(descriptive geometry, lettering, dimensioning, layout, detail, etc\.\) andrequire a general working knowledge of shop processes associated with fixturedesign\. Desired: * Must possess theability to do CAE and FEA analysis in Catia v\.5\. * Must be proficientwith Microsoft office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, etc\. * Design powertrain system level and component level test fixtures usingCatia and SDRC Ideas\. * Create detail drawings of assemblies and fixtures, using GeometricDimensioning & Tolerancing \(GD&T\)\. * Store all CAD data in Teamcenter \(TCe\), use TCe to create top downassemblies and bottom up assemblies\. Essential Functions Work Environment Inside\- 100% Physical Requirements Lifting \- 25% Climbing \- 25% Safety glasses, slip resistant hardened toe shoes, gloves, long pants, short sleeve shirts \- 100% Audiogram required \(TWA over 85 dB\) Sitting \- 50% Standing \- 50% Equipment and Machines Computers \- 25% Basic hand tools, air driven sockets \- 25% PMHV \- 25% Attendance Monday \- Friday Dayshift, but shift assignment is subject to change so candidate must be flexible with available work hours\. Other Essential Functions Must take and Pass pre\-employment Drug Screen, HPE, and background check\. Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co\-workers\. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written\. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others\. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner\. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required\.
