This Lockheed Martin (LM), Enterprise Business Services position is in the Financial Services organization. The position reports to the Payroll Manager. EBS Global Financial Services is responsible for financial business operations and the design, implementation and operation of best practice financial processes across Lockheed Martin, including the overall operation and improvement of core financial services such as: Accounts Payable; Billings and Collections; General Ledger Support; Fixed Assets; Contract Closeout; Tax, Benefits Accounting Services; Payroll Operations and Accounting, Travel Reimbursement Accounting, Time and Labor Accounting. Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Analyzing gross to net pay and tax calculations -Recording and updating of payroll deductions, including garnishments, union dues, savings, and benefits -Calculation and input of W-2 Corrections -Over-payment recovery -Calculate and process retroactive pay adjustments -Process off-cycle payment requests -Identifying and communicating need for adjusting approach according to analysis outcome and impacts -Providing Tier 2 Subject Matter Expertise for employee and Business Unit inquiries -Investigating payroll issues to discover root cause, determining alternatives and implementing resolutions -Participating in and supporting process improvement initiatives independently or as part of a team -Working with minimal supervision in order to address complex payroll issues Additional responsibilities and special projects will be assigned as needed to support the organization. This is a fast paced, challenging position for proven high performers and quick learners. The position supports tight deadlines on a continuous basis. Effective and independent performance in a supportive, diverse team environment is expected. Knowledge of financial software and systems are also needed for success. WORK LOCATION FOR THIS POSITION IS AT A U.S. BASED LOCKHEED MARTIN FACILITY IN LAKELAND, FL. Basic Qualifications -Experience with payroll principles and performing payroll related tasks -Experience with pay practices or labor laws -Experience performing independent work tasks with minimal supervision -Experience with financial software and systems -Intermediate level proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) Desired skills -HRMS and/or PeopleSoft experience -Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) -Effective verbal and written communication skills -Proven effective organizational and interpersonal skills -Experience working within a diverse team environment -Effective critical thinking and analytical skills As a leading technology innovation company, Lockheed Martin’s vast team works with partners around the world to bring proven performance to our customers’ toughest challenges.
