Learn more at www.iapws.com. Leads individual and small group training on site with client organizations supporting contingency planning and continuity of operation engagements. Accountable for individual and collective understanding of equipment operation and maintenance, applying local, state and federal Emergency Preparedness rules, regulations and activities, tracking and the evaluation of all regulatory requirements relating to Emergency Preparedness including; exercises, drills, inspections and training. Assists in the establishment, documentation and evaluation of emergency response exercises and Emergency Operations Center activation drills. This is a proposal position (contingent upon contract award). Title: Junior CBRN Specialist + Essential Job Functions + Must have CBRN incident response instructor experience. + Detailed knowledge of CBRN response infrastructure and equipment operations including but not limited to; + Strong understanding of CBRN incident response fundamentals + Ability to read and understand facility and system drawings, diagrams and schematics + Current working knowledge of CBRN incident response equipment + Troubleshoot and restore operations of assigned CBRN response systems and equipment including but not limited to fixed and portable sensor systems. + Responsible for day-to-day operations, maintenance, including workload planning and work management. + CBRN equipment logistics planning and operations experience, equipment research, requisition, accountability, maintenance, calibration and sustainment. + Fully support the work efforts of the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) operations and maintenance training cadre supporting client agency continuity of operations programs. + Assist in the development and maintenance of the curriculum and program of instruction for individual and collective CBRN protective systems located in fixed facilities and vehicles. + Applies knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures, policies, and directives associated with the federal continuity of operations. + Works with Senior CBRN Specialist to develops, analyzes, and evaluates existing or proposed client agency plans or procedures. Has a good knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, guidelines issued by DHS, FEMA, EPA, OSHA and directives such as Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs) related to emergency preparedness, personnel and infrastructure protection. + Must meet qualification standards to be a technician per the Contractor’s Training Program. + Must meet fit for duty requirements, which includes full physical fitness determination and ability to receive clearance for unlimited use of respirator (i.e. personal protective equipment) for extended periods of time. + Education and Experience Requirements: + 4 years of CBRN incident response instructor experience to include formal training programs to include but not limited to military or civilian government emergency preparation operations. + Ability to obtain and maintain “Radiation Safety Officer” certification + Preferred Skills: + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, business or related field. + Experience in financial resources, safety, quality, and human resources is highly preferred. + Security Clearance: + Top Secret with eligibility for access to SCI + Job Location: Bluemont, Va Travel: Yes, this position will require 10% travel outside community area Job Location Classified, District of Columbia, United States Position Type Full-Time/Regular
