**IT Professional II \- Computer Systems Administrator** **Description** Jacobs Technology provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida\. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi\-Purpose Crew Vehicle and Launch Services programs\. Provide Operations support for Firing Room, RPS, and emulators supporting GFAST personnel\. This job may require off\-shift support during test periods\. + Provide Operations support for complex Command and Control systems is required with an emphasis on building, integrating and testing software\. Non\-trivial experience with advisory systems\. + Perform requirements management, to include development, definition, and documentation; as well as, writing test procedures and performing validation testing\. + Support the development and implementation of set systems administration and configuration of released products from the design/development organization\. + Provide Operations and Systems Administration of GAHLE/CAIDA/RPS to User Engineering tests\. + Provide presentation and analysis support of raw and processed data to Engineering\. + Generate test procedures for systems requirements validation\. **Qualifications** **Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in telemetry and/or command and control systems operations support\. Additional experience may substitute for degree\.** + **Experience with Ethernet based telemetry highly desirable\.** + **Experience in Dewesoft telemetry data acquisition and display development is a plus** + **Proficiency with Linux and MS Windows Operating Systems is a requirement\.** + **Proficiency with HP OpenView, C is desirable\.** + **Experience in generating and execution of test scripts for emulator support\.** + **Experience in preparing project design review packages and presenting those designs to NASA Chief Engineers\.** + **Systems engineering experience to provide strategic design, project planning, tracking and integration\.** + **Ability to work both independently and on teams\.** Essential Functions Physical Requirements + Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing\. + Physical requirements are: sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures\. + Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency\. Work Environment + Work will mainly be done inside, but fieldwork can be a combination of outside and inside depending on the project\. + Working at heights and in confined spaces may be required\. + Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/sand is required to access various locations on the facility\. + Climbing ladders and platforms will be necessary\. + All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and Company safety standards\. Equipment and Machines + Computers and printers used for producing reports and schedules\. + Variety of equipment may be used\. Attendance + Full\-time regular work hours between Monday\-Friday\. + Position may require occasional overtime including weekend work depending on task\. + Must be dependable and punctual\. + Shift work may be required\. Other Essential Functions + Must be able to accurately communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication\. + Must be able to travel to support position requirements\. This may include travel to and from customer location, which may involve airline travel\.
