Continuous Improvement Leader (Near Raleigh-Durham, NC Area)
About the Job
**Basic Function:** Plan, organize, facilitate, manage, and lead continuous improvement projects for various business value streams. Serve as a key driver for change with Site Leadership and functional leaders by helping individuals learn, understand, adjust, and grow with the Site’s continuous improvement transformation. Champion change and assist in delivering strategic initiatives that will aid in improvement or implementation of new systems, processes, or cost-effective solutions. **Major Duties:** + Facilitate continual improvements in business results and site KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, productivity, cost or morale. + Lead, facilitate, and coach continuous improvement teams to find root cause and resulting action items using TPS, Lean, and World Class Manufacturing principals with the goal of improving efficiency, productivity, downtime, and scrap issues. + Develop, document, and maintain processes for best practice sharing and reapplication. + Develop leadership standards for all Lean Manufacturing tools deployed at the Site. Continuously improve existing standards in the pursuit of World Class. + Lead Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Kaizens, or Blitz activities as required utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools. + Develop and manage continuous improvement reporting activities internally and to corporate leaders as required + Any additional project assignments assigned by leadership. **Requirements:** + BS. Degree in Engineering or related Technical Discipline and 5 years of experience required. + Must possess a bias for action. + Must be a self-motivator with significant attention to detail. + Working knowledge of TPS, Lean, and World Class Manufacturing Principles including the development and implementation of leadership standards + Extensive Root Cause Problem Solving capability to solve problems to ‘zero’. + Process development and implementation to enable data granularity for critical business KPIs. + Capable for working in cross-functional environment within the Site and across the Supply Chain. + Strong and repeatable project management skills. + Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel. + Must have excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills (verbal and written). + Must be flexible within a team-based environment. + Must be capable of working flexible and extended hours.
