The Enterprise Server Operations Center within the office of Information Resource Management (IRM/OPS/SIO/ESOC) is seeking a Level 2 System Administrator who will serve as a Tier 2 Operations and Maintenance Subject Matter Expert and occasional liaison to Department of State’s Information Resource Management (IRM) Enterprise Network Management Operations Center (ENMOC), Global IT Modernization (GITM), and other Tier 3 organizations when attempting to resolve customer IT System issues. The Senior Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Server Operations Center Data Center services and infrastructure as well as remotely assists Overseas Post staff with troubleshooting and maintaining system infrastructure. + Microsoft Certified IT Professional Certification + Network+ VMware Certification (or similar experience) + Ability to terminate and install CAT6 and fiber optic cabling within a Data Center environment + Ability to perform under stressful situations. + Understanding of cabling and physical infrastructure of a Data Center environment + Experience/knowledge of Data Center Operations best practices + Ability to install a variety of Data Center equipment, i.e. servers, storage arrays, network equipment etc. + Ability to perform systems checks, maintains logs, generate reports, and produce documentation + Excellent logical system troubleshooting and issue resolution + Very strong verbal and written communications skills Must have an active Top Secret.
